Senior UX/UI Designer

About the Role

We're looking for a Senior UX/UI Designer to shape the future of language learning at Vokabl. In this role, you'll design engaging, intuitive experiences that help thousands of learners master new languages with confidence. You'll collaborate closely with product, engineering, and content teams to craft interfaces that are beautiful, accessible, and delightful to use. Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end design process for Vokabl's web and mobile platforms, from research through high-fidelity prototypes.
• Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes that communicate design ideas effectively to stakeholders.
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Build and maintain a scalable design system that ensures consistency across all Vokabl products.
• Collaborate with engineers to ensure pixel-perfect implementation and smooth handoff of designs.
• Champion accessibility best practices and inclusive design principles throughout the product lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in UX/UI design for web and mobile applications.
• Proficiency in Figma, Sketch, or similar design tools with a strong portfolio showcasing end-to-end projects.
• Deep understanding of user-centered design principles, information architecture, and interaction design.
• Experience conducting user research, A/B tests, and usability studies to inform design decisions.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to present and defend design choices to cross-functional teams.
• Familiarity with front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and design-to-development workflows.

Nice to Have

• Experience in edtech, language learning, or consumer-facing SaaS products.
• Knowledge of motion design and micro-interactions using tools like After Effects or Lottie.
• Multilingual background or personal experience learning a second language.
• Experience building and maintaining design systems at scale.
