German Teacher (English)

We're looking for passionate, qualified German language teachers to join our growing team at vokabl. In this role, you'll deliver structured 1-on-1 and group German lessons to learners at various proficiency levels (A1–B2). You'll use our curated curriculum while bringing your own teaching style, personality, and expertise to create engaging, effective learning experiences.
Responsibilities
- Deliver structured 1-on-1 and group German lessons via Zoom following Vokabl's curriculum.
- Prepare lesson plans and supplementary materials tailored to each student's level and goals.
- Track student progress and provide regular feedback on areas of improvement.
- Maintain a consistent schedule and communicate availability through the Vokabl platform.
- Participate in onboarding, periodic training, and quality reviews.
- Create a supportive, motivating learning environment for all students.
Requirements
- Native or near-native German proficiency (C2 level minimum).
- Fluent in English (B2+ level) for instruction and communication.
- Teaching certification (TEFL, CELTA, DaF/DaZ, or equivalent) preferred.
- 1+ years of experience teaching German as a foreign language.
- Reliable internet connection, webcam, and a quiet teaching environment.
- Strong communication skills and a patient, encouraging teaching style.
Nice to Have
- Experience with online teaching platforms (Zoom, Google Meet, etc.).
- Familiarity with CEFR levels and structured language curricula.
- Additional language skills (Spanish, French, Arabic, etc.).
- Experience preparing students for Goethe-Institut or telc exams.
